Ethics in adolescents under 17 years of age: Analysis and recovery strategies

This study explores the causes of the lack of ethics in adolescents under the age of 17 and its consequences, proposing various strategies for their recovery. Ethics, a fundamental value in human development, is deteriorating within this population, posing serious challenges for personal and social growth. The research identifies factors contributing to this issue, including the influence of violent content, the inappropriate use of technology, and the lack of ethical role models in family and educational environments. Additionally, it examines how the cultural and social environment, often characterized by the normalization of unethical behaviors, impacts adolescents' decision-making processes. This not only affects their personal development but also significantly impacts social coexistence, fostering attitudes of indifference toward collective well-being and increasing harmful behaviors. The importance of integrating ethical education programs from an early age is highlighted, involving both institutions and families. Furthermore, the development of mentoring spaces is proposed, where adolescents can receive guidance and support to address their ethical dilemmas and understand the impact of their actions on society. Through these interventions, the aim is to strengthen ethical principles in young people and promote a more just, supportive, and conscientious environment in their daily lives, where adolescents have the opportunity to actively contribute to the collective well-being of their communities.
